The millennium development goals


What they are

At the millennium summit in september the largest gathering of world leaders in history adopted the un millennium declaration, commiting their nations to a new global pathership to reduce extreme provety and setting out a series of time-bound targest, with a deadline or 2015, that have become know as the millennium development goals.

The millennium development goals (MDGS) are the world´s time-bound and quantified tagest for addressing extreme poverty in is many dimensions incume poverty, hunger, disease, lack of adequate shelter, and exclusion while promoting gender equality education and enviromental sustainability. They are also basic human rigths- the rights of each person on the planet to health, education, shelter and security.

      ·         Goal 1: Eradicate extreme hunger and povety.
      ·         Goal 2: Achieve universal primary education.
      ·         Goal 3: Promete Gender equality an empower women.
      ·         Goal 4: Reduce Child Mortality.
      ·         Goal 5: Improve Maternal Health
      ·         Goal 6: Combat HIV/AIDS, Malaria and other diseases.
      ·         Goal 7: Ensure environmental Sustainability.
      ·         Goal 8: Develop a global parthership for development.
